We began another beautiful day in Paradise by capturing 8 mongoose (6 recaptures) early in the morning because we were scheduled on an afternoon snorkeling cruise to Buck Island. The boat was filled to capacity, but that did not diminish our experience. Deidre suffered a little motion sickness but managed to keep inside what belonged inside. Julian captured some fascinating underwater images of the interplay of light, sand, and the motion of the waves. It certainly is fun to have a mathematician on these trips who looks for different patterns than do most biologists.
