After several months of waiting patiently, the adventure has begun. Although the amount of work that needed to get completed before the big trip had me discouraged at first, I still managed to get all of my work done by Wednesday evening around 9 pm. I took my last mid-term on Thursday at 3 pm and was home free to pack for my trip. I packed for a couple of hours yesterday and I have all of the things that I need for 8 days of research and a great experience.

After a night of little to no sleep on the account of my excitement, I awoke at 5:15 this morning to shower, one last bag check, and I headed to Buzz’s house at 6:00 am. We left immediately, got to Bradley airport, got our tickets, and went through security. We waited about 30 minutes and boarded the plane. There were technically difficulties with the plane, so we were delayed about an hour or so, which of course I slept completely through on the account of the lack in sleep. Now I am flying high above the ground on my way to Puerto Rico.

Words cannot quite describe how I’m feeling, but I am incredibly excited and looking forward to seeing what this experience is going to be like.
