  • need to combine two or more concepts
  • are searching for a phrase
  • want to see what is available in the library on your topic

An Advanced Search provides fill-in boxes and drop-down menus that make searching easy. You can enter terms to search in several indexes: Keyword, Title, Author, Subject, Journal Title.

Searching a phrase   words are searched as a unit (not separately) in the order entered.
          example: managed health care
will be searched as:   "managed health care"
