Summer 2015

On 4 July 2015, we observed an immature Red-tailed Hawk with a juvenile mongoose in its talons on Sandy Point National Wildlife Refuge.

In the images above, you can see the hawk in a Tamarind tree holding the mongoose. Note the banded pattern on the tail feathers.
